Opportunities and challenges of the European Energy Union –Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Lithuania

In cooperation with the Committee on Environment Protection and the Committee on Economics of the Lithuanian Seimas, EUFORES will hold a workshop to debate on the current issues discussed in the European Parliament regarding the Renewable Energy Directive as well as the specific situation in Lithuania.

During a 4-hour workshop, the current situation of renewable energy sources in Lithuania will be discussed among parliamentarians, government representatives, industry, and experts. Members of the European Parliament and the European Commission are also invited to join the workshop in order to get direct feedback from the national level back to the European level. The main objective of the workshop is to trigger a fruitful discussion among all stakeholders about the Directive on Renewable Energy Sources, the national renewable energy action plans and policies, the actual state of implementation and good practice policies.
