Parliamentary Dinner

"Renewable energy and Europe´s infrastructure: The right decisions for tomorrow"

Tuesday, 3rd May 2011, 19:00-22:00, Members Salon, European Parliament, Brussels

EUFORES parliamentary dinner is concentrating on one of the key challenges for European Energy Policy over the next years: the provision of the right infrastructure for a changing energy supply.

With a steadily increasing share of Europe's energy supply coming from domestic renewable energy sources, the existing infrastructure will have to be adapted to the more versatile character of these sources. Highly flexible structures will be needed, with the capacity to incorporate the energy produced at both large scale centralised power plants as well as electricity and heat generated on household level.

EUFORES is delighted to present a panel of speakers which will give some insights to how Europe's energy infrastructure will have to be designed in order to cope with high share of renewable energy in the system, both for electricity as well as heating and cooling.
