8th Inter-Parliamentary Meeting on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

On Friday 7th November, Members of Parliaments adopted the Declaration of Budapest 2008 during the 8th Inter-Parliamentary Meeting on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (IPM8). The IPM8 took place in the beautiful Parliament of Hungary, Budapest.


The IPM8 focussed on the upcoming European Framework Directive for Renewable Energy (RES) as well as on the status of the national Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAPs).

The event gathered more than 60 Members of the European Parliament and of National Parliaments from 19 EU Member States. Furthermore, high-level civil servants from the European Commission, selected representatives from industry and the NGO-sector attended.
