EUFORES among TOP10 most effective associations in public policy in Brussels

Category: news

Via survey, APCO insight and EurActiv identified 15 characteristics which best demonstrate "public policy effectiveness" among associations.

The survey was conducted in Brussels and Washington D.C. and involved around 700 policy leaders in both cities. Out of 15 identified characteristics, lobbying - building direct relationships with policymakers is the most important characteristic in determining effectiveness of an association. Other top characteristics were effectively mobilizing members, working effectively across the political spectrum, and having multilateral impact across institutions.

Based on this TradeMarks model, 55 Brussels associations were rated. EUFORES was ranked as the 6th most effective association in terms of "public policy effectiveness". In addition to this, EUFORES was rated as doing the best job in one of the 15 characteristics being grassroots. Grassroots is defined as mobilizing grassroots campaigns to influence policy and legislation.
